Welcoming Maya Kilburn: A New Artistic Chapter for 2025
We are delighted to welcome the extraordinary violinist Maya Kilburn to We Have One World as we prepare to celebrate the 5th edition of the WHOW concert series.
At just 22, Maya is already making her mark as a compelling performer, educator, and advocate for music’s power to connect people. A Kovner Fellow at The Juilliard School, she currently studies under Donald Weilerstein and Catherine Cho, and her artistry continues to move audiences across the globe.
From Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center, Maya has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras across the U.S. and internationally, with appearances in Argentina, Chile, Japan, and Costa Rica. Whether leading ensembles as concertmaster at Juilliard or engaging communities as a Gluck Community Service Fellow, Maya brings warmth, clarity, and deep musical insight to everything she touches.
In 2025, Maya joins WHOW not only as a featured performer but also as a creative collaborator helping to shape this year's concert. Her commitment to mentorship and global music education - reflected in her teaching work in Costa Rica and her deep engagement with young artists - resonates beautifully with WHOW’s mission of building unity through music and shared stories.
We’re incredibly excited for the inspiration Maya will bring to the stage and beyond.
Stay tuned for more on how you can experience Maya’s work with WHOW.
